Antica torre degli Spinola,
posta a monte del Castelluccio, lungo uno dei sentieri che
dalla costa conducevano verso l'entroterra. Venute meno le
funzioni di difesa delle torri costiere, nel
XIX secolo
divenne proprietà del marchese Pietro Cambiaso che la
trasformò in casa per villeggiatura; in seguito fu inglobata
nella proprietà dei frati Passionisti che poco distante
avevano il loro convento, e più recentemente l'intero
complesso è stato trasformato in una residenza alberghiera.

When the defensive functions of the coastal towers ceased, in the 19th century it became the property of the Marquis Pietro Cambiaso who transformed it into a holiday home; later it was incorporated into the property of the Passionist friars who had their convent nearby, and more recently the entire complex has been transformed into a hotel residence.
