The "Pallavicini Palace" was built in 1858 by the Marquis Ignazio Pallavicini in Giuseppe Verdi Square (now Amilcare Ponchielli Square). Its destination was first a hotel (Michel Hotel) with the aim to be the driving force of tourism in Pegli. Later it was renamed "Hotel de la Ville et d'Angleterre". In 1930 it became the headquarters of the Pegli Fascism Chamber and after the war, it was used as the seat of a party. It is now a bank.
