Il Palazzo "Doria alla Marina"
o "Casotto dei Doria" è
sito nel Lungomare di Pegli al N. 47, è stato costruito alla
fine del XVI secolo e attribuito ad Andrea Ceresola detto
Vannone. Il Palazzo era al termine di un percorso che
partiva dal prestigioso complesso di Villa "Centurione-Doria"
e attraverso un viale fiorito dava sbocco al mare. Dalla
seconda metà del 1800 e per i primi decenni del 1900 il
Palazzo è stato adibito ad albergo di fama internazionale
col nome Savoie e Gargini, ospitando uomini illustri, tra
cui Gabriele D'Annunzio. Nel 1908 il Palazzo viene
sopraelevato e dagli anni '30 adibito ad uso residenziale. The Palace "Doria alla Marina" or "Casotto dei Doria", located on the seafront of Pegli at No. 47, was built at the end of the 16th century by Andrea Ceresola known as Vannone. In ancient times the Palace was connected to the prestigious complex of "Centurione-Doria" park through a flowered road that led to the sea. From the second half of the 19th century and the first decades of 1900, the Palace was used as an international renowned hotel named Savoie and Gargini, hosting illustrious personalities such as Gabriele D'Annunzio.
